Since 1802, we have been embracing innovations and sustainable solutions of the highest quality that add value to people's lives around the globe.Join us to be part of a forward-thinking, people-centered company where your ideas and contributions truly matter.This is your opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative, international environment.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures.Required to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.Ensure that all guards and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked.Required to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation.Required to perform daily safety inspections per lift per shift.Use pallet-jack, staple gun, paper machine, bubble machine, weigh scale, banding equipment, and shrink-wrap machine to package merchandise for shipment.Use wireless RF gun (SAP) to scan every location and every box/pallet, to pick, pack, and ship customer orders.Safely operate stan up reach, high bay order picker to pick and load trucks.Work overtime as needed to maintain customer service.Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers, line lead, team leader, supervisor, and manager.Perform other tasks as assigned.Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 verification requirements.Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor.Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.Knowledge and Skill RequirementThis position should possess the following skills/knowledge:High school diploma or its equivalent, desired.Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environment.Certified by Georg Fischer Central Plastics in the proper use and maintenance of lift trucks.Must be able to pass Georg Fischer Central Plastics test in the proper use and maintenance of lift trucks.Must be able to use Oracle and understand priority scheduling system.Must be self-motivated to work quickly and accurately with little supervision.Must be able to work closely with others in a fast paced environment.Environmental / Atmospheric ConditionsTypical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas as well as heat in the summer and cold in the winter.Working Conditions / Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift 50-75 lbs in a safe manner.Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time.Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more with the ability to judge depth and space relationships and bring object into sharp focus.Must be able to accurately recognize and translate numbers without transposing.Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required in manufacturing only).Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required).Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts.Exposure to sparks, chips, and dust (eye protection required).Contact person: Angela Trotter Generalist Human Resources
